Wow!  At the beginning of the year, our staff began to pray that God would double the number of commitments to Christ from 2008 in 2009.  We helped 250 people put their faith in Christ in 2008 and so we began to pray that God would allow us to help 500 people experience a life-changing relationship with Jesus in 2009.

To be honest, I’ve always said that I believe that God can do anything, but this seemed a bit far-fetched.  500 commitments to Christ in one year?  That just doesn’t happen.  But we began to pray corporately, as a staff, and individually that God would radically change at least 500 lives in 2009.

Well, I’m excited to tell you that after last weekend our total commitments for the year is now 504.  It’s hard for me to believe this even as I am typing it.  And what’s crazier is that we still have a month to go before the year is over.

God told us at the beginning of the year to “Expect the Impossible” and now we’ve seen it again!
